Making live music to silent classic films lets us discover our composing skills since 2010.
NEWS! In 2023 we will make music for Tom Tieman’s Huilende Bruiden, a documentary for KRO/NCRV about cultural heritage, family heritage and decay.
De laatste boer van Euvelgunne (The last farmer in Euvelgunne) is a film (2014) by Tom Tieman about Farmer Ties Dijkhuis, who kept on farming at the farm of his family for ages, even though the area around him is swept with industrial sites. A poëtic story of a man and his mission to keep a little part of the world green. You can watch the film at NPOdoc (no subtitles). Music: Kinetophone.
I found your film, Kinetophone recorded the music for this film in their separate set ups. René edited the pieces together adding the setnoise and foley that was recorded by the filmmakers Jelte and Hanne.
Gold Dust, an art installation in the little white church of Solwerd (2019). We recorded most of the music in the same church making use of the acoustics. Sebastiaan and René recorded the old organ, a lot of cello, some toys and more and made a sounddesign out of the recordings, adding some guitar and vocals from Thomas later on.
A piece to be listened to with a headset, preferably with your eyes closed.
